A Note on AestheticsLet me first discuss both our outer and inner worlds. The outer world is the public, physical face. The inner world is the complex structure within each of us that provides our only living solitude. Beauty is, logically, a purely physical existance. We see things and are inspired. We contemplate beauty. Ponder it. And yet, forever, beauty is the product of a tangible thing. Somehow, beauty bridges the outer and inner worlds, which is in itself inexcusable. One should know that to preserver the inner self, one must keep all traces of the outer world far away, to prevent it from tainting the rich cultivation of thought. RichardIm lying in a hospital bed. My arms are filled with tubes; there are hoses in me everywhere. Im strapped down to the bed, but Im so weak and tired I cant even move. I dont have the strength left in me to even raise my arm, let alone thrash around. And so I just stare uselessly at these restraints. The gleaming buckles holding down something thats barely alive. Its ridiculous that the nurses have seen fit to strap down my broken body with these ridiculous restraints with their ridiculous buckles.  Richard

Oracle?I was reading the future In the soapy bubbles As I lay in the water I was thinking Wondering Pondering those half-formed thoughtsOracle?
And as I sat With bubbles in my hands I listened to the hourglass That I could just so faintly hear Tick tick tick
In the back of my mind I heard to a hymn Not a hymn to praise the lord Mind you But rather, a video game
Yes, of course A video game none-the-least Because really Why bother wasting all my time Trying to attain salvation? When I can get to level 60, instead
